It is reported that a part of the sidewalk on the Pogradec-Qafë Plloçë axis has collapsed, in the segment that passes near the village of Gështenjas.
Along with the sidewalk landslide, underground networks were also damaged.
The landslide is significant and it is currently unknown whether it endangers the rest of the road segment.
In addition to the damage to the sidewalk, this axis has been without lighting for months, even though it passes between residential areas, seriously endangering the lives of pedestrians.
According to data, the reconstruction of the road, the widening of lanes, the installation of traffic dividers, sidewalks and the lighting system were completed as an investment in September 2018.
The Pogradec-Qafë Plloçë axis has been known for years as one of the "black spots" of the southeast in terms of road accidents.
