They come as tourists but practice prostitution in Albania. It is this ever-growing trend of girls from Latin America, Asia and other nationalities, who are known as sex escorts.
In the latest case, two Venezuelans, one Colombian and one Spanish are being investigated in Durrës.
4 citizens between the ages of 24 and 46 were prosecuted a few days ago for prostitution by the Durrës police. The case was discovered after a conflict with a young man from Shijak, during the meeting for the provision of sexual services.
In the prosecutor's file, it is stated that one of the foreign girls is also accused of adapting the premises for drug use, as a quantity of cocaine was found in the apartment they had rented. They will be investigated in a free state while the prosecution has seized their passports and a residence permit that one of the citizens had.
According to the investigation file, the girls have testified that they arrived in Albania on February 5 of this year, they accept the fact that they offer sexual services against payment, but they are independent and are not pressured or managed by anyone.
They also stated that they send the money they earn to their families. The prosecution has verified that on numerous online sites of sex escorts, there were open profiles with the photos and contacts of the citizens processed in a free state. According to these pages, there are hundreds of citizens of different nationalities in Albania who offer sexual services, "in call" or "out call", even from distant Asia.
They entered Albania as tourists and according to similar police investigations, they leave the country after a few weeks. The sexual services offered range from 150 to 500 euros, depending on the time and whether it goes to the escort's apartment or she comes where the client wants./ Euronews Albania
