An incident occurred this morning at polling station 1122 in the Maqellarë Administrative Unit, Dibër. A verbal clash between representatives of the Socialist Party degenerated into physical violence.
It is reported that the Socialist Party candidate, Mr. Danjel Gjura, punched citizen Florian Lazri, a water utility employee, during a debate about the influence on voters regarding today's elections. Lazri was said to be supporting candidate Agron Malaj.
The incident occurred inside the premises of the voting center, in the presence of citizens and members of the election commission. Immediately after the incident, the police were called to the scene to take statements from the parties involved and to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
The Socialist Party has not yet given an official reaction regarding the case.
Unofficial sources for "A2 CNN" indicate that the conflict may have arisen from internal disputes within the local structures of this political force, which are suspected to be related to the management of supporter lists and influence over the electorate.
This incident occurs in a tense political climate in the Dibra district, where rivalry between political forces has increased significantly in recent days, while cases have been reported where voters have been pressured.
