Former MP Lefter Maliqi has reacted after Ilir Proda's departure from the leadership of the State Police. He has accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of "selling" him and using him for political interests.
In a reaction on social media, Maliqi states that Proda is the next "scapegoat" and emphasizes that Rama acts in the same way with every collaborator to maintain power.
"He used it, he threw it away! Ilir Proda the next 'scapegoat'! Rama sells the Director General of the State Police, after misuse, as he has sold every other collaborator," Maliqi writes for "A2 CNN".
Maliqi has appealed to the State Police not to accept "political orders", adding that the prime minister "sells out everyone, just to keep his chair".
In his reaction, Maliqi emphasizes that the opposition aims to create a technical government and hold free elections, stating that "it is the turn of the courageous people" and calling for the prime minister's resignation.
"Just a little more patience! It's our turn! The turn of the courageous people, of the "Technical Government and the "Free Elections"! Abandon Ramaduro! He belongs to the past, to the Regime, to the Fathers of the Dictatorship. We will win!", said Maliqi.
