The former director of the National Food Authority (AKU) in Durrës, Elton Varaku, 41 years old, resident of Shijak, has been arrested after an incident that occurred on the premises of the institution where he previously held office.
According to sources, the 41-year-old is suspected of damaging objects inside the offices and using threatening language towards employees, causing tension in the institution. After being notified of the situation, the Criminal Investigation Services intervened and detained him in flagrante delicto.
Authorities say that investigations are ongoing to fully clarify the circumstances and motives of the incident.
