Albania declares Iran a state sponsor of terrorism

Journalist Enver Robelli has criticized the resolution adopted in the Albanian Parliament, which declares Iran a state sponsor of terrorism, describing it as an act without real impact and part of "unnecessary servility."

According to Robelli, the resolution was easily approved by the parliamentary majority, while consensus is lacking on other important issues, such as a resolution on Srebrenica. He stressed that this shows a double standard in decision-making and a lack of real political debate.

" With what ease is a majority created in the Albanian Parliament to approve a resolution that ultimately has no great effect, to be very realistic, and on the other hand, extraordinary dramas are caused and there is never any understanding to approve a resolution on Srebrenica. In this sense, I see it more as one of these many parades of the Albanian Prime Minister, who is unchallenged by both the opposition and his own party, is a group of soldiers who practice 24 hours a day to say YES ," Robelli said in a direct link to the "Off the Record" show on A2CNN.

He also highlighted the lack of genuine political debate in decision-making, adding that state positions require more responsibility and analysis.

" There is no political debate, there is no debate on the use of language and the positions that the state will take, because the positions that the state takes are very important. It reminds me a little of that historic decision to ban TikTok, then the Constitutional Court comes out and says 'no, it was unconstitutional'. In general, I see it as part of a certain servility that in the end no one asks for ," the journalist declared.

Speaking about the international effect of this resolution, Robelli expressed skepticism about its impact.

" I don't believe that Mr. Trump's attention is so great that he registers that a resolution was adopted in Tirana today and has done him a great honor. He is developing a terrible, extraordinary controversy with the European Union tonight and in fact said that he will also review the governance of the United States of America in NATO due to the refusal of the Europeans to become part of his war ," he said.

The journalist also raised the issue of responsibilities that such decisions entail, questioning their timing and reasoning.
