The court hearing for the dissolution of the marriage of Monika Kryemadhi and Ilir Meta has been postponed to April 11.
The hearing was scheduled for today (February 21) at 10:30 at the Civil Court, but has been postponed. The divorce lawsuit was filed by PL president Ilir Meta, who is in prison.
Genc Gjokutaj, the lawyer and legal representative of Ilir Meta, who has a push for the media that the reason for the trial is the absence of Monika Kryemadhi, has not influenced the session.
"Mrs. Kryemadhi was aware of the hearing, did not appear and did not give any reason for the warning. The hearing was postponed to April 11 at 10:30. This is the preliminary stage of reconciliation, then the divorce trial begins," said Gjokutaj.
In June of last year, former president Ilir Meta announced that he had initiated divorce proceedings from his marriage to Monika Kryemadhi, after 26 years of marriage and many more years of political cohabitation.
Since October, Ilir Meta has been in prison, arrested by order of SPAK on charges of money laundering, corruption and failure to declare assets.
