Former minister Fatmir Mediu has said that he is available to be questioned at the end of the process. He also said that keeping the issue open is a political interest that serves election campaigns.

It has been manipulated, since in all these court sessions for anyone who will learn the truth, it has emerged that there is no fact that implicates the minister.
He respected the military expertise and asked to be reported periodically, and there is not a single letter that would describe what happened in Gërdec as illegal. It has become a media story to keep alive in every election campaign for political interests.
