Sociologist Gëzim Tushi has commented on the macabre crime in Durrës, where the 19-year-old girl killed and buried her 50-year-old father in the yard of the apartment, as the deceased wanted to betroth the girl against her will.
He stated that today's event is extremely serious and that the crime was of a sadistic nature, while adding that the level of criminality in Albania is high and that the state should also intervene.
"Crime has become a type of cancer that has taken hold of our society. We are dealing with a sadistic crime. I believe it is unacceptable ... Crime cannot be justified. Today's case shows that we have reached the point of killing the father. It may be rare, but I can't remember another time, evil has caught the bottom. We are seeing such beings who are committing crimes in cold blood.
Over 80% of crimes are committed in the family. This does not require a great sociologist or philosopher to say that the hearth is the family. If the family produces more criminality, we should focus on the family.
We have dealt a lot with the state, but not with the family. A national strategy is needed to bring together cultural and educational factors related to parents. The family in the 21st century, the father wants to marry the daughter to a man who does not love her. Along with it, the school should also influence. The state also has its own responsibilities, intervention is needed," he said.
