The deputy of the Democratic Party, Dashnor Sula, has stated that SPAK is giving concrete results, hitting criminal groups and corrupt politicians.
Sula made the comments on the show "Now" on Euronews Albania, where he said that the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, is a prosecutor with high moral, professional and uncorrupted integrity.
He also said that the process against former Prime Minister Sali Berisha is a political process, since according to him, he is not accused of awarding any tender, but of a VKM.
" For the people I know directly in a working relationship, I guarantee that Dumani is among the prosecutors with the highest moral and professional integrity and uncorrupted. I am not exaggerating, I have full confidence to say that it is lucky that Dumani is at the head of SPAK. SPAK has been working for a little over a year and is giving concrete results.
Impunity in Albania has been at a superior level. If you could find a mayor who was before justice... Today, many exponents of politics are guilty or innocent without entering into discussions... As long as I am in politics, I will respect every decision of the courts. If I were Sali Berisha, I am personally convinced that the case against him has full political connotations. If Berisha was accused of a tender, of a concession, I would shut up.
But it is about the accusation against him for a VKM. I have said that there is a double standard if Berisha is being tried for VKM by the head, while other VKM for the prime minister and the mayor, where all the other people from the guard, the driver are before justice, while those who signed the VKM or have taken the powers of the Municipal Council, they are not before justice ", said Sula.
