
Meteorologist Tanja Porja has described the meteorological situation in the country as a very critical situation.
On Dita Jonë on A2 CNN, she warned of worsening weather with storms, strong winds, and intense rainfall throughout the territory. According to her, the heaviest rainfall and downpours will be mainly in the north and center, descending in the evening and during the next day in the southern areas.
"It is a very critical situation, the atmosphere is very dynamic. High intensity precipitation in the north, and throughout the territory we will have moderate intensity precipitation. Quite strong wind storms mainly in the northern half of Albania, the most frequent downpours in the north and central areas. Fewer in the south, while from tomorrow in the center and south. Strong southern wind, sea storms will not be absent. At noon the situation worsens throughout the territory, high intensity precipitation in the north and center and moderate in the south. In the evening the intensity will be quite high throughout the territory."
A2 CNN Meteorology advises citizens not to move around without essential reasons in these conditions, as in addition to intense rainfall, there will be storms and lightning.
"It would be good that unnecessary movements are not advisable. There will be intense rainfall, strong winds and electrical discharges," Porja said on A2 CNN.
According to her, the thermal values at noon will decrease by two degrees.
"Thermal values at noon will drop by at least two degrees. Berat and the Gulf of Saranda will have temperatures up to 21 degrees Celsius."
The meteorology also warns of snowfall over the weekend.
