Journalist Anila Hoxha spoke about the investigation tracks for the murder of Gentjan Bejtja on Friday.
The execution was carried out in the backyard of his house, where so far no possible perpetrator has been identified.
"There are several tracks, but all of them, in fact, so far have not yet marked an identified trace and also a possible perpetrator. A number of characters and people who know Gentjan Bejtjan have been accompanied to the police. So far, they have not provided no important details for the investigation. One of them is related to the past of Gentjan Bejtja due to his criminal profile, given that he has been accompanied many times, in many events, mainly murders. The experts of the local police, but also of the police of the state have reopened all files where Gentjan Bejtja is mentioned, especially the latest assassination, this was the fourth assassination against the 42-year-old Bejtja, especially the last one was carried out with the same dynamics, with the same ferocity in the area of his residence, taking the life of his brother-in-law, Ramazan Sina.
If we travel back in time and into Bejtja's criminal past, what is publicly known is the fact that a former prison policeman identified Bejtja as a person who had problems with crime after the murder of Chief Commissioner Dritan Lamaj in 2013. In the investigative actions of the Durrës police, two citizens, Enver Stafuka, were identified for the theft of the vehicle from which Dritan Lamaj and Gentjan Bejtja were shot and killed. Gentjan Bejtja was arrested first, and Enver Stafukaj was also handcuffed. During the trial of the evidence, it was found impossible to prove their authorship as the thief of the luxury vehicle from where the high commissioner was shot. The court found both of them innocent and then Bejtja was considered one of the friends of Enerv Stafuka who has been declared missing and nothing is known about his life", said Hoxha on the show "Top Talk".
