The photo of the arrest of Jamarbër Malltez, the son-in-law of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, who previously held the position of Head of the Department of Environment in the Democratic Party, has been published. He was detained in Rinas by order of SPAK.
Maltezi wears a hat on his head while handcuffed. He was arrested in Rinas as he went out to meet his wife Argita Malltezi who was coming from Germany.
Malltezi is accused of passive corruption in cooperation under Article 260 and Cleansing of Products in cooperation with Fatmir Bektashi under Article 287 of the Criminal Code.
The builder Fatmir Bektashi is accused of active corruption and laundering the proceeds of the crime in cooperation with Malltez. The latter is the co-owner of Jamarbër Malltez for the construction of the former 'Partizani' complex.
The report was made by the Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, regarding the procedures followed for the privatization of the state property "Klubi Sportiv Partizani" Tirana. SPAK has been following the investigations for two years.
The privatization of the former Partizani complex began in 2008 and was completed four years later, in 2012.
