Several times we have investigated citizens' denunciations against the former head of the Gjirokastër prosecutor's office, Julian Çafka. The prosecutor in question passed the vetting, but the decision was appealed and now awaits the verdict of the Appeal on January 18, 2024.
Currently, Çafka, from the head of the Gjirokastër Prosecutor's Office, has moved as a prosecutor of executions in the Tirana Prosecutor's Office. Today we show how Julian Çafka investigated his father and then closed the case, without thinking about the conflict of interest.
In July 2014, at the Prosecutor's Office of Gjirokastra, criminal proceedings were registered for forgery of documents. The citizen Hito Hitaj claimed that he was not included in the property that belonged to him as an heir by the decision of the Gjirokastër KKP of 2004, where the engineer was Hajdar Çafka, the prosecutor's father.
After a year, prosecutor Julian Cafka comes out with the decision to dismiss this denunciation even though he should not have investigated a case against his father in any case./ Stop
