Before issuing the instruction of Minister Ogerta Manastirliu, which was published in the Official Gazette of December 1, 2023 and entered into force; pre-preparations have been made for "Operation Fshesa", for the removal of convicted teachers and employees.
The first phase will be the self-declaration of teachers and school employees, then their verification will be done in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, the prosecutor's offices and the courts in the prefectures, to identify those who have criminal charges and continue working in education.
According to a preliminary evidence, it is said that in the pre-university system, there are nearly 1,200 teachers and employees criminally convicted by final decision, who will be dismissed and will not be part of the school bodies in the academic year 2024-2025.
