MeteoAlb's weather forecaster, Lajda Porja, has stated that the weather in Albania is expected to undergo a drastic change over the coming days, bringing a significant increase in temperatures and warning of the premature arrival of hot summer days.
The week has started with relatively mild temperatures, with the maximum reaching 24 degrees Celsius. However, this situation will change quickly as an increase to 26 degrees is expected from Tuesday, while Wednesday will mark 27 degrees.
The big turn is expected on Thursday and Friday, where the thermometer will climb rapidly, peaking over the weekend.
"In fact, I pointed out in an interview that the weekend we left behind will be the freshest weekend.
Every weekend that comes will be getting hotter. So we expect the thermometer in the second half of this week, starting Wednesday and onwards, we will feel it immediately.
Meanwhile, we will feel the weekend in the early hours of the morning. Given that at least until Wednesday, minimum temperatures will increase very slightly, by 1-2 degrees, and it will be a little cool for all those who will go out early in the morning, around 6:00 am for work, they will feel a little cool, they will definitely go out with a jacket.
Starting from Friday and the weekend, the thermometer will immediately register minimums of 9 or 10 degrees and maximums of 29-30 degrees in the mountainous areas, most of the western lowlands. There will be isolated areas, Elbasan, Berat, Gjirokastra, that will approach 30-31 degrees and the weather is expected to be stable.
I would exclude Wednesday and Thursday, midweek where we will have cloudiness developing in the northern areas and the eastern half, northeast, bringing moments of raindrops, isolated showers that last only a few minutes.
"The rest of the territory will be mostly clear. The weekend, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, will not only be dominated by clear skies, but relatively much warmer compared to every spring weekend we have had so far," Porja told Ora News.
