The former mayor of Durrës, Vangjush Dako, spoke for the first time after his arrest. He appeared before the court today to familiarize himself with the security measure and in his speech before the judge, he denied the accusations. Dako has stated that he has not violated the law at all, as far as the tender for the promenade in Currila is concerned, he has said that he had no knowledge at all.
According to Dako, this public procurement procedure was developed by specialists and that he was not aware of. Sources inside the session indicate that the mayor has said that he has never violated the prosecution procedure for this tender.
The former mayor of Durrës, Vangjush Dako, has asked the court for a milder security measure. His defense lawyer Petrit Ismalili stated in front of the court that Dako has nothing to do with the accusations, and for this reason he requested milder measures such as house arrest, the obligation to appear, or even property guarantees.
