
The Mother Teresa University Hospital Center in Tirana has reacted regarding the case of a 12-year-old from Maliqi, who lost his life today.
While expressing its condolences to the family, QSUT clarifies that the minor was admitted to the Pediatric Hospital of QSUT on January 7, 2025 and passed away on January 8, 2025, at 01:45, in the Pediatric Intensive Care Service.
According to QSUT, after the examinations, the patient was diagnosed with acute myocarditis, a rare and dangerous disease, which is associated with a high mortality rate.
QSUT states that despite maximum care and treatments carried out according to medical protocols, it was impossible to prevent the death of the patient.
