Regarding the serious incident where a 12-year-old lost his life in the Tirana hospital, the family members have stated off camera that the child was healthy and had no health problems.
They accuse the doctors as they add that after they brought him to Tirana, the boy was added to the Covid ward, while they say that he should have been followed in resuscitation.
"The boy was healthy, he didn't have any health problems before, he was involved in sports activities. At the end of December, he went to Korça hospital with flu symptoms (vomiting and high temperature), he was treated in Korça hospital in intensive care.
Yesterday we took him urgently to Tirana and they admitted him to the Covid ward, our son was not there, they had to follow him to resuscitation. He was laid there and began to vomit continuously, I communicated this to the nurse and she told me 'there is no way'. The boy was not treated properly, at one point he squeezes his chest hard and I take him in my arms to take him to the pediatric emergency room and on the way the boy died in my arms.
What the doctors told us is that he suffered a cardiac arrest, could the boy lose his life from a virus?! He didn't suffer from diabetes or from the heart, but due to the many treatments, his diabetes reached 200 on the last day. We are shocked and we don't want to take things further, please respect us in our pain", the family members declared.
Meanwhile, in relation to the incident, the police is working to clarify the circumstances of the incident with the testimonies received from the family members, but the latter have also clarified that they did not agree to perform a forensic examination.
