After the arrival of materials from Turkey, intensive work is underway at the Vlora Water Supply Company to repair the defect that has left citizens without water for 4 days. The materials arrived with an escort and specialists are joining the pipes.
The Minister of Defense, Pirro Vengu, has arrived in Vlora and is closely following the work. Vengu said that new hydraulic parts imported from Turkey are expected to finally repair the defect.
" It is a nationwide effort led by the National Water Supply and Sewerage Agency. I would also like to thank the Director General who is deployed here, with a team from all over the country, with 13 engineers, who have identified the damage, especially the main damage which was massive and the number of factors that have produced this. From the first hours, work has begun to prevent further consequences. On the other hand, despite the difficulty, the logistics of the end of the year, the Agency has also enabled the import of equipment to repair this entire segment. We are hopeful that with the means recently arrived from Turkey, the engineers and teams will be able to put it into full operation. It has started in several neighborhoods of the city, as the mayor has also informed. We will not stop until full normality is restored ," said Vengu.
