So far, there are 200,000 Albanians living abroad who have registered for the May 11 elections. The CEC seems not far from its target of 250,000 emigrants registered by the March 4 deadline.
So far, nearly 247,000 immigrants have applied, while over 200,000 requests to participate in the elections have been approved.
According to the latest data from the Central Election Commission, nearly 41,000 requests have been rejected due to address errors.
There were more registrations from Italy, Greece, Germany and the United States of America.
The call of political parties but also of the CEC is for immigrants to apply as there are only 5 days left to register.

Tirana over 61 thousand registered or 19.9%
Fier over 41 thousand registered or 13.5%
Elbasan over 33 thousand registered or 10.3%
Durrës over 32 thousand registered or 10.0%
Korça over 26 thousand registered or 8.6%
Vlora over 23 thousand registered or 7.7%
Berat over 21 thousand registered or 6.8%
Shkodra over 21 thousand registered or 6.8%
Lezha over 18 thousand registered or 5.9%
Dibër over 13 thousand registered or 4.2%
Gjirokastër over 10 thousand registered or 3.2%
Kukës over 4 thousand registered or 1.5%
