Four apartments were completely gutted in the 10-storey building that was engulfed in flames the day before on 'Sali Butka' Street, in the area known as the former Bus Park.
The residents of the building are waiting for the experts who will carry out the verification of the fire damage as well as the causes that led to the explosion of the flames.
The 10-storey building, built in 2021 by the Vlonian businessman Tanush Mëhillaj, was in serious danger of collapsing from the flames that knew no bounds and spread almost throughout the structure of the residential building, but fortunately there were no injuries and no loss of life.
After the fire in the 10-story building in the area of the former bus park in Tirana, the administrator of the building was taken to the police.
The covering of the palace, which was detached and fell in pieces after being engulfed in flames, favored the spread of the fire. It is suspected that it was the construction material of poor quality that served as "gasoline" spreading the flames through the balconies and even inside the apartments, challenging the fire department employees for three hours.
The material is suspected to have been of the "stone wool" type, which according to experts has a plastic composition.
A resident of this building, speaking to the media, said that he was the first to see the fire and immediately went outside.
"We still don't know how much damage we have, they didn't let us in. I was inside when the apartment caught fire. It started from the top floor. I was the first to come out and see the fire. The fire department came immediately but the fire spread very quickly. The police intervened. immediately to evacuate the residents because even they did not expect it to happen like this. The fire spread immediately. I live on the 5th floor. Tonight I will sleep on the couch," he said yesterday afternoon in a reaction to the media.
