UNESCO is ignored, Pogradec towards concrete...
The government has decided to destroy even the city that managed to save it from many years of Benonization. We are talking about Pogradec. The reason that this city is preferred, apart from the lake, is undoubtedly the tranquility, the green spaces and the landscape different from other cities.
In Pogradec, there are no breathtaking towers, no massive buildings, and moreover, the part by the lake (from Pogradec to Tushemisht) is the same as it was during the communist system.
But it will no longer be like that. Pogradec will soon become like Durrës, Vlora, Saranda and many other cities that have been taken over by towers and concrete.
In recent days, two projects have come to light that will forever change the image of Pogradec, putting it at the service of the oligarchs.
A short while ago, the National Territorial Council approved a highly controversial project. It concerns a series of high-rise towers in the city of Pogradec. According to the decision, the NTC has approved the construction permit for the “Pogradec Marina” (Koran Village) facility, a complex of service, hotel and residential functions with 3, 4, 5, 9, 11, 12, 18, 22 and 23 floors above ground with 1-2 floors underground, plus an art gallery with a public function, located on “Reshit Çollaku” Street, Pogradec Municipality.”
But this will not be the only project, as controversial businessman Fatmir Bektashi has also "plunged his nose" into Pogradec. Even though he has two files in SPAK, he continues to receive building permits. Bektashi is accused by SPAK of having an affair with Jamarbër Malltez. He also appears in Erion Veliaj's file.
The first file has gone to trial, while the second is under investigation. However, his company "Kontakt" has announced a project called "Drilonit Forests", where it announces the construction of buildings near Driloni Park, at the entrance to Tushemishti.
Details about the permit are not yet known, but the company has started selling apartments and the signals are that Bektashi will occupy the entire area, as it did in Tirana.
The scandal is that Lake Ohrid is part of UNESCO and its concreting contradicts the instructions that came from the organization. / Pamphlet
