For this criminal offense, Aleksandër Dilaver Lilo was sentenced to 19 months in prison by the Court of Saranda, with Decision No. 199, dated October 8, 2014, upheld by the Gjirokastra Court of Appeal, with Decision No. 66, dated March 10, 2015.
On June 29, 2016, his prison sentence was annulled by the Supreme Court, with the decision of the judicial team Shkëlzen Selimi, Guxim Zenelaj, Edmond Islamaj, Artan Zeneli and Tom Ndreca, all dismissed from the vetting.
Where, among other things, the representative of ONM, was presented as evidence of corruption and the decision to erase the conviction of the Judicial Police Officer of Saranda, Aleksandër Lilo; even this file, at the request of the ONM and the Prosecution, has been taken for investigation and proceedings to the ILD and KLJJ.
But although Aleksandër Lilo did not go to prison for the bribe of 20,000 Euros, which he reportedly paid to the group dismissed by Vetting, the General Prosecutor's Office and the Police have not annulled the decisions for his final exclusion from justice, the police and the administration.
