Babloku gave permission for the construction of the TEC in Roskovec, a TEC that risks poisoning the entire area. It is about a TEC that will work with gas and fuel oil.
At the December 18 meeting, the government approved the construction of the power plant with an installed capacity of 170 MW. This project will be realized by the Greek-Albanian company "Fier Thermoelectric" sh.a, whose shareholder is the Greek company "DEPA COMMERCIAL SA", 35%, the other Greek company "GEK TERNA Holdings", 35%, while "GENER 2 owns 30% of the shares. But according to the rumors, in fact, the other companies are close, as Bashkim Ulaj, who has been lobbying for this project for two years, moves the strings.
On March 26, 2024, in a 10-minute meeting of the Roskovec City Council surrounded by police and threatening opposition councilors; SP councilors approved the permit for the construction of the TEC with false environmental reports without any consultation with the residents. Engjëll Agaçi, the secretary of the prime minister, has also entered the game, who has lobbied hard at the municipality and councilors.
Residents of the villages of Suk-1, Suk-2, Arapaj, Strum, Velmish, Drenovicë, Samaticë, Rrëze, Gorican, Kutalli, etc., during the protest in front of the Municipality of Roskovec on the day of approval of the permit, declared that the gas-fired thermal power plant complex mazut, which will be built in the Suk-1 area, is Engjëll Agac's investment and business.
Today they came out again in protest. As a sign of revolt, they set fire to one of the concrete pillars, which was placed for picketing the TPP. Indignant, the residents said that the plant that will produce gas energy will cause environmental pollution, damage to their health and agricultural lands where 700 ha are only greenhouses. They asked to cancel the permit for the construction of the TEC.
" This is a livestock and agricultural area. Over 750 ha of greenhouses that produce for our country, the EU and the Balkans. This is the land of bread. We came all the way to Tirana, but the prime minister doesn't listen to us ", says a resident.
" I appeal to the Prime Minister. We are in favor of voting, just cancel this. Many residents are afraid to go out because the mayoress has pressured them ," said another resident of the area.
The truth of the permission of this TPP is as follows: The Government approved the construction on December 18, 2024, accompanied by the definition of the construction area, Roskovec, the area, the energy production capacity, the term of use as PPP and the technical, technological specifications of the environment, which will be implemented by the company "Fier Thermoelectric Sh.a".
But the company "Fier Thermoelectric Sh.a" was created on September 28, 2022, or 2 years and 3 months before Bablok's decision came out; which, it is no coincidence that it has the same specifications and the Roskovec area, as the government has decided on December 18, 2024.
This fact testifies to preliminary bargaining between Bablok and Bashkim Ulaj, to build and use the TEC in Roskovec, which has already been made a government decision and will be built and poison the entire area, if the residents allow it. / Pamphlet
