"Naimi", "Lasgushi" and "Migjeni" continue to fly, but no one knows where the money comes from and ends up.

Since 2018, the company in which the Albanian state is also a shareholder, "Air Albania" has no public financial statement, with income, expenses, profits and losses, provided for in the law. For 5 years now, the financial situation and liquidity of this company, which was presented as a successful project by the Rama government a few years ago, remains a mystery.

Recently, "Turkish Airline", a shareholder in the company "Air Albania" with 49% of the shares, has published the balance sheets of the 9th month of 2023, where among all the assets, it includes those due to it from the Turkish-Albanian company.

On page 19 of the document, the English version, it is emphasized that "losses from 'Air Albania' are not disclosed after 2019 and, consequently, they are not calculated in the balance sheet".

However, in one of the tables, the short-term debts of "Air Albania" are defined. (It is not clear if it is only about the part belonging to "Turkish Airlines").

According to the table, these debts of the Turkish-Albanian company until the end of September 2023 result in 33 million dollars, 7 million more than the total debt of the previous year. In another table, it is shown that in the period January-September 2023, transactions worth 8 million dollars were made between the owners of "Air Albania".

In the Turkish version of the balance sheet, which is supposed to be a copy of the English one, the company "Turkish Airline" turns out to have information on the losses of "Air Albania". It is stated there that until September it suffered a loss of 9 million Turkish lira, over 300 thousand dollars. Again, it is not clear whether it is about 100% of the company or only the part administered by the Turks.

The National Business Center, where "Air Albania" is registered, occasionally reminds businesses, especially large ones, to send their financial statements within certain deadlines, otherwise there will be penalties. The airline has passed every possible legal deadline, 5 years, and no one has reacted to it.

Recently, the KKB received a notice from the private Executors, who informed him that they are seizing Air Albania, as it was indebted to the Turkish citizen, Sinan Isik, the former number two of the company.

The panorama is getting more and more gloomy for "Air Albania", which with the sequestration decided, it will be impossible to buy or sell to another company, to get out of the debts it has sunk into.

Air Albania's finances have often been the center of public debates, especially after Prime Minister Edi Rama "borrowed" a plane, for personal trips and not only. The opposition demanded the establishment of an investigative commission on this matter, but of course the government prevented it.

Iranian hackers have discovered that the Albanian prime minister has traveled 140 times with the charter named Ismaili.

The opposition says it has spent 22 million euros, although it has never taken this issue seriously.

On the other hand, Zoom.al has proven that a plane like Rama's spends 15 thousand USD in one hour of flight. It is a luxury aircraft with a bedroom and 12 crew members, which even the prime ministers of the EU member states do not have.

Zoom.al has repeatedly asked Albanian institutions to show how much money is paid for the prime minister's luxury trips by charter plane, but none of them has agreed to provide data.

There are doubts that the Air Albania company is behind Rama's charter, which, although it has been repeatedly mentioned on this issue, has never clarified its position. /Zoom.al
