If you thought that Tirana no longer had room for towers, you are wrong. At the entrance of the Artificial Lake, next to the Guard of the Republic, another symbol of the capital's concretization, "Grand Park Skyline", will be erected. A 40-story tower near the Guard of the Republic and at the entrance to the lake park that, in addition to being the next concrete, will also house a super-luxury hotel under the logo of "Philipp Plein".
But who is behind this new urban 'monster'?
"X One shpk", a company with a modest capital of only 1 million lek, which surprisingly is raising investments of millions of euros. And this is where the soap opera of corruption begins: the main shareholders are Ilir Trebicka, Bablok's close friend since basketball days, and Ylli Ujka, the businessman who follows the prime minister like a shadow on every trip abroad. Building this tower is no ordinary project. In order to build this 'monster', the Lake Park, an area that should serve as a lung for the city, has been damaged. This is not just an urban violation, but a serious blow to Tirana's green spaces, which are turning into concrete every day.
One of the main shareholders of the company "X One", Ylli Ujka, is a figure known for his suspicious activities. He is not just a con man passing off as a successful businessman. Ujka is known as a money launderer of criminal groups, using dubious projects and deals to hide the origin of dirty money.
The PR that Ylli Ujka is doing for himself is amazing, but it's all a facade and the 'super fraudster' has realized that it's the only way to penetrate the pot of power. The Wolf of Lezha poses with important politicians, sits at their desks presenting himself as a successful businessman of the diaspora, then signals the criminal groups and launders their money in the construction of towers, in strategic investments as well as in large projects. It is not at all surprising that now that Bablok needs the vote of the diaspora, the "Wolf of Lezhes" has appeared on the scene. His connections with criminal groups and the ability to build client networks are among the reasons why the "X One" company has managed to secure large and profitable projects.
One of his most famous schemes involves the acquisition of his cousins' properties in Lezhë, with the false promise that he would make a strategic investment of 300 million euros in Rana e Hedhun. This promise was never fulfilled, as the properties ended up in his hands.
To laugh and to cry. The company X One of the "crook" has received 4 million square meters of land in Poliçan for photovoltaics, for only 700 thousand euros per year.
He "won" the tender because... no one else participated! Despite the fact that hundreds of companies had expressed interest. The ironic fact that the offer of X One was a fixed floor price set by Poliçan Municipality. This all seems more like a bargain in the dark, where it is known who should emerge as the winner.
This is just the beginning! A new unknown oligarch is emerging in Albania, with a clear goal: A big share in the power cake after the 2025 elections...
