4 days of ceasefire in exchange for 50 hostages, details of the agreement

Israeli newspaper Haaretz reports that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has submitted to Parliament for approval an agreement with Hamas that would release 30 children and 20 women held hostage by the terrorist group.

According to the Israeli daily, 10 Israeli hostages will be released each day of the ceasefire based on the possible deal between Hamas and the Jewish state brokered by Qatar. This was reported by an Israeli political source to Haaretz, according to which Israel hopes that the total number of freed hostages could reach 80.

The source confirmed that the truce could last 4-5 days, during which troops would remain in northern Gaza. The deal - agreed to by the military, Mossad and Shin Bet - deals with live Israeli hostages, while foreign nationals must be released under agreements with their respective countries.

Meanwhile, Bezalel Smotrich, the leader of the radical right of Religious Zionism and Finance Minister of the Netanyahu government, has come out against the deal. He added that his party will remain "like a wall" for the continuation of the war until the complete destruction of Hamas.

But this opposition has provoked the reaction of Israelis whose families have been taken hostage by Hamas.

"Who dares to vote against a deal?" , said Hadas Calderon, who has five family members among the hostages held by Hamas, including his children, contradicted the positions of far-right parties that oppose the proposed deal.

" Let's save those we can now, we don't know what will happen, we can't wait, they are in danger. Little by little we will bring them all home, fighting until the last one comes back , let's start with those who can't resist ," he said.
