Nine people were killed and 26 injured in a bus accident in Antalya, a major tourist city in southern Turkey, the Antalya governor said.
"Eight of our fellow citizens lost their lives and 26 were injured. The injured were taken to area hospitals ," Governor Hulusi Sahin told reporters, without specifying whether any foreign nationals were among those involved in the accident.

The bus, which was carrying 34 passengers from Radesto (Tekirdag) to Antalya, overturned this morning at 10:20 (08:20 Albanian time) on the highway due to rain, the governor explained.
"There was also fog. This is an intersection where you shouldn't go fast, but it looks like the bus came at high speed," he added.
