A tragic accident happened on the A1 highway in Fiano Romano (Rome), where unfortunately two drivers lost their lives and 18 immigrants were injured, some of them in a serious condition.
The accident occurred when a bus, used by the Agrigento Prefecture to transfer migrants from the reception centers of Porto Empedocle in Piedmont, collided head-on with a heavy vehicle.
Unfortunately, the two drivers could not escape and lost their lives in the accident. The migrants, however, were transported to various hospital facilities in the area, with some of them in critical condition.
The migrants involved in the incident had landed in Lampedusa in the previous days.
