A serious accident occurred today in Naples, Italy. A tourist bus fell into the Po River, near Piazza Vittorio Veneto, in the city of Turin.
The vehicle veered off the road, crashed into the protective wall, and then fell into the river, partially submerging in the water.
Only the driver was on board, who was found unconscious and after prolonged attempts to revive him, was declared dead.
Firefighters have arrived at the scene, and a helicopter has also intervened, while searches continue to verify whether there were other people on board or passersby involved in the accident.
The incident took place in the Murazzi area, very close to the historic center of the city. The bus belonged to the Di Carlo Tour company based in Campobasso.
According to initial investigations, the bus was traveling backwards, possibly because the driver had taken the wrong route or had suffered a health problem while driving.
During its movement, the bus hit three women, but none of them are in serious condition.
