Darko Geisler Nedeljković, 43, from Pancevo, who Serbian media reports is suspected of being a member of the Skaljar criminal clan and using a false identity as Dejan Kovač, was killed in a shooting that was recorded on January 5 in the settlement coastal Embare of Sao Paulo in Brazil.
Security camera footage recorded the moment, which was widely published today by the Serbian media.
At the time of the assassination, Nedeljkovic was riding a bicycle on which his four-year-old son was sitting, while his wife was on the other bicycle.
When they stopped before the entrance to the yard, the attacker ran and shot several times at the 43-year-old. He then fell to the pavement, as did the boy on the bike, while his wife ran to help him.
Brazilian media reports that the ambulance managed to help Nedeljkovic, but he suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest and died. Neighbors said Nedeljkovic was quiet and withdrawn. He worked in a carpentry workshop and for four years lived with his wife and son on the street where he was killed.
Blic reports that Nedeljković was involved in several liquidations in Montenegro and that, according to the knowledge of the Serbian police, he was also a hired killer of the Zemun clan, which was allegedly led by Luka Bojović. Since 2014, there has been speculation in the media that he may no longer be alive.
