21 thousand Wagner soldiers were killed by Ukrainian forces, while over 80 thousand of them were wounded. This is what the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky declared in an interview with the Spanish newspaper "El Mundo".
"Wagner has two categories: professional mercenaries and those mobilized from prisons, like cannon fodder. Our troops have killed 21,000 and wounded 80,000. The good news is that we have destroyed the most motivated part of the Russian forces," said the Ukrainian president.
According to Zelensky, they killed many of their comrades, while emphasizing that the rest of the Russian army lacks motivation and is weaker.
"There are a lot of people who supported Prigozhin on social media during the riots, and that means they are losing the fight and blaming each other. They blame their losses on Ukraine. We must take advantage of this situation to remove our enemies from our land. We believe that today they are no longer able to do anything serious against Ukraine, but we will keep an eye on that northern border," Zelensky said.
