Pakistan has submitted Iran's revised proposal to the US to end the conflict in the Middle East, according to a Pakistani source quoted by the Reuters news agency.
Peace talks appear to have stalled in recent weeks and the source said "we don't have much time" when asked how long it would take to close any gaps between the two countries.
The source added that both sides continue to change their stances. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei confirmed that negotiations with the US were continuing, through Pakistani mediation.
Donald Trump said last week that the ceasefire reached with Iran in April was "under the influence of vital means", when it became clear that the two sides were too far apart on some issues.
Issues hampering negotiations include Iran's nuclear ambitions and its control over the Strait of Hormuz, where it has closed off maritime traffic that normally carries a fifth of the world's oil and liquefied natural gas.
Iran has called for an end to the war on all fronts, including Lebanon, where Israel is fighting the Iranian-backed militant group Hezbollah.
