Donald Trump's Peace Board: 9 countries have pledged $7 billion for Gaza
American President, Donald Trump

US President Donald Trump has announced that nine countries have jointly pledged $7 billion in aid to Gaza. Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan and Kuwait are the countries that have made the pledge, according to him.

" For every dollar spent, it is an investment in stability and hope for a new, harmonious region," Trump said.

This is only a small fraction of the estimated $70 billion needed to rebuild the Palestinian territory after two years of fighting.

Trump announced that the US would contribute $10 billion to the Peace Board. He stressed that, while the amount is significant, it remains small compared to the cost of wars and added that he has resolved eight conflicts. Trump said that the Peace Board will be based on the United Nations and that “nobody has seen it before.”

“The United States will contribute $10 billion to the Peace Board. We have had tremendous support for it. It is a small contribution when you consider the cost of war. We are committed and together we can achieve the dream of bringing lasting peace to the region. I hope we can turn the world’s eyes to how other conflicts can be resolved. We have resolved 8. We have resolved them in a few days. The last wounds can heal. The planet will be safer and more peaceful.

"I think the United Nations has a lot of potential. I haven't spoken to any of them about the eight wars I resolved. The Peace Board will be based on the United Nations and will see if they are not functioning properly. We need to make sure that the United Nations is functional and relevant and will be resolved to its full potential," he added.
