The US president's statement comes after several states refused to join his proposed initiative.
United States President Donald Trump has reacted harshly to several countries that, according to him, have refused to join an initiative called the “Peace Board.” During his speech, Trump said: “Don’t play with me,” adding that countries that are trying to “act a little bit like the smart ones” will be back at the table very soon.
In his message, Trump suggested that some countries are holding a reluctance for tactical or political reasons, but warned that they will change their stance in the near future. He did not specify which countries he was referring to, nor the specific reasons for their reluctance.
"Almost everyone has accepted it, and those who haven't, will. Some are trying to act a little bit like smart, but it doesn't work, you can't act smart with me," Trump said.
The statement was accompanied by warning tones, implying that the United States or the administration he represents has instruments of influence that can be used in relation to these countries.
