Britain, France, Germany and Italy condemn Iran's attacks: Scandalous and
Leaders of the United Kingdom, France, Germany

The leaders of the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Italy have strongly condemned Iran's attacks on countries in the region, calling them "scandalous" and unacceptable.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer held a telephone conversation today with his counterparts from France, Germany and Italy, where they initially all spoke out together against these Iranian attacks. According to the official statement from Downing Street, the leaders condemned "Iran's outrageous attacks" and discussed the defensive measures that the United Kingdom has recently taken to protect and strengthen regional partners.

They stressed that intensive diplomacy and close military coordination will be essential in the coming hours and days to manage the crisis. The leaders also agreed to coordinate closely to prevent disruption of maritime transport in the Strait of Hormuz, which has been affected by recent tensions and a partial closure by Iran.

Concerns about violence in Lebanon were reiterated, where Israeli attacks and Hezbollah responses have worsened the situation. A positive point in the conversation was the acceptance of Ukraine's offer to share its advanced expertise in drone interception with affected countries in the region, an offer that was welcomed by the Europeans as a valuable contribution.

The four leaders pledged to remain in close contact to coordinate a joint response to developments in the Middle East.

The call comes amid heightened tensions following recent Iranian attacks in response to previous military operations in the region, where the UK has emphasised a defensive rather than offensive role. The situation remains tense, with the risk of further escalation.
