Talat Xhaferi, the technical prime minister of North Macedonia, has said that his appointment to this position is at the right time.
Today he becomes the first Albanian to head the Government of North Macedonia, although it will be a technical government with a mandate of 100 days.
" I think it is timely and not late, due to the fact that the procedural and formal aspects are determined by the Law on Government. Which determines that 100 days before the holding of the elections there must be a technical government, which prioritizes the organization and smooth running of the election process, and not only the aspects of government powers and the functioning of institutions. I believe it is at the right time and at the right moment ," he said.
Xhaferi for Klan Kosovan has stated that earlier it was a taboo to talk about Albanians being at the head of institutions, according to him, now this is a reality.
" We can say that the time contexts in the political context are delayed, but also timely. For the political and social aspects, the time aspect is not limited by hours to days, it is a matter of the processes that follow and precede and follow, so it is a matter of politics that the planning becomes short-term and long-term, I think it is at the right time regardless of the circumstances. But if we see it in a narrow context, it can be said that it is late, if it was once taboo, now it is a new reality and it is the right time, I think , "said Xhaferi.
