They came out against the war, the Iranian president praises European countries

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has praised the stances of six European countries, including Spain, Italy and Turkey, for their criticism of Israeli attacks in the Middle East.

"The essence of civilizations is revealed at critical historical moments. The stances held by Spain, China, Russia, Turkey, Italy and Egypt against the war-mongering and crimes of the Zionist regime stem from their deep cultural and historical roots ," he wrote in "X."

The statement also mentioned China, Russia and Egypt. Masoud Pezeshkian's reaction comes after Italy said it had suspended a defense agreement with Israel earlier.

Spain, one of the most vocal critics of US-Israeli attacks in the Middle East, has also been singled out for its response, with its personnel expelled from a military base in Israel.
