The situation in the Middle East keeps getting tense. The last one who added fuel to the fire was the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who resumed a harsh attack on Israel.
Erdogan directly threatened Israel that Turkey may enter Israel as it intervened in Nagorno-Karabakh and Libya.
" Just as we entered Karabakh and Libya, we will do the same with them [Israel]. Nothing is impossible. We must be strong to take such steps ," Erdogan said.

Local media recalled that in November 2023 the Turkish parliament had sanctioned a one-year extension of the mission of the country's armed forces in Azerbaijan within the framework of the joint Russian-Turkish monitoring center that was established in January 2021 to monitor the cessation of hostilities in the area of Karabakh conflict.
Also in November 2023, the Turkish parliament extended the mandate of the country's military contingent in Libya for 24 months. Turkish forces have remained in Libya in accordance with a military cooperation agreement with Libya's Government of National Reconciliation.
