Vučić's last major political mistake was the demand that Serbs leave all Kosovo institutions. With this, the representatives of the Serbs in Kosovo remained without any institutional influence.

" The measures imply a powerful diplomatic campaign by all state authorities to protect and fight for the respect of the rights of the Serbian people in Kosovo, which are threatened by the actions of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti" , announced the Serbian government.
The package of measures includes financial support for the Serbian people in Kosovo, through the allocation of 20,000 dinars per month to 5,000 unemployed beneficiaries, free textbooks for children, compensation for meals for children in pre-school education, primary and secondary schools. New jobs, infrastructure projects in the form of construction and adaptation of new houses for the Serbian people, with the aim of systematic support for sustainable survival and survival in those areas.
It has been said that a special Prosecutor's Office will be created for criminal prosecution of abuses and violations of fundamental human rights, usurpation of property, endangering the physical integrity and dignity of Serbian citizens in Kosovo.
Vucic is not fighting for a better position of Serbs in Kosovo
"The measures announced by Aleksandar Vučič regarding the situation in Kosovo are aimed primarily at internal public opinion. Vučić's policy is always directly linked to public opinion ratings and polls. Even in this case, the measures are more rhetorical than substantive," said Dragan Popovic, director of the Center for Practical Politics.

These measures will be meaningful to some people who have lost their sources of income, but they are basically an expression of populism and do not solve anything in the long run.
Others have been reduced to demands that the Serbs return to the institutions from which the Vučić government expelled them. Perhaps in this reality we can see the worst of the radical policy that has been made in Kosovo since 2012, although the policy of the previous authorities was not far from that either.
