The Revolutionary Guard is behind the attack on three ships in the Strait of Hormuz, according to Iranian media, citing their statements.
According to the Fars news agency, which is affiliated with the Revolutionary Guard, one of the ships hit is the Panamanian-flagged Euphoria, owned by a company based in the United Arab Emirates, which is reportedly stranded off the Iranian coast after the attack.
At the same time, Iranian media reported that two other ships, the Panamanian-flagged MSC Francesca and the Greek-owned Epaminondas, were seized and sent to Iran, citing a statement from the Revolutionary Guard navy.
The same sources did not provide further details about the circumstances of the operation or the condition of the crews, and so far there has been no independent confirmation of the information.
At the same time, Technomar, the owner of the Epaminondas ship, did not confirm the information regarding the seizure of the ship.

According to security company Diaplous, the captain of the Liberian-flagged ship Epaminondas (IMO 9153862), operated by Maersk, reported that a Revolutionary Guard warship approached the ship without prior radio contact and then opened fire.
The ship, which is owned by George Giouroucos' Greek company Technomar, has 21 crew members, including Ukrainians and Filipinos. According to the same information, the attack caused minor material damage to the ship's bridge despite initial reports of a more serious hit, while according to the same report, all crew members are safe.
The ship had sailed from the port of Jebel Ali in the United Arab Emirates to Murda in India, at a time when maritime security in the wider region remains precarious.
