Israeli strikes, Iranian president: Netanyahu tried to kill me, I was injured in

Iranian President Masoud Pesekian said he narrowly escaped death during the 12-day war with Israel.

The Fars news agency reported that the Israeli Air Force bombed the compound of Iran's Supreme National Security Council on June 16, three days after the war began.

Six rockets hit the building's entrances and exits, a practice similar to that used during the Israeli operation to assassinate Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

The attack knocked out the electricity grid, according to the Fars report. Participants in a meeting held inside the building at the time managed to find safe shelter, but some of them, including Pezheskian, were wounded in the legs.

In an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson about a week ago, Pezheskian spoke about his assassination, suggesting a possible leak of information from intelligence agencies due to the accuracy of the attack.

"There have been speculations that an agent was involved ," reported Fars, which criticized Western media for ignoring a "blatant act of state terrorism," while condemning Iranian leaders' religious rulings against figures such as US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
