The German Foreign Minister, Annalena Baerbock, has commented on Iran's drone and missile attack on Israel. She said that after the aggression, security in the Middle East is very fragile.
"The Iranian regime has brought the entire Middle East to the brink with its eyes wide open ," said Baerbock.
She said that Tehran would have "plunged an entire region into chaos" if not for Israel's "effective air defense and strong partners".
On the other hand, the Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk, says that the consequences would have been very serious if Israel had not had a level of protection. He adds that while the situation "does not pose a direct threat to Poland at the moment", it is clear that the whole "world is on edge".
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said today that world leaders were united in their call for "responsibility and restraint" after the attack.
The Spanish government "has condemned and will always condemn all forms of violence that threaten the safety and well-being of innocent civilians," Sanchez wrote in a post on X.
