New details have come to light from the serious attack that took place at a high school in Kahramanmaraş, Turkey, where four people were killed and around 20 others were injured.
According to media reports, the perpetrator of the incident was among the victims, who committed suicide after the attack.
The incident took place at around 1:30 p.m. at Ayser Çalık High School in the Onikişubat neighborhood. Four of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.
The perpetrator, an eighth-grade student at the same school, allegedly opened fire in two classrooms, causing panic and chaos.
According to authorities, he had entered the school armed with five guns and seven magazines in his bag, which allegedly belonged to his father, a former police officer.
"The shooter killed himself by shooting himself during the chaos. He was an 8th grader and his father is a former police officer. We believe he brought the weapons with him. He came to school with 5 guns and 7 magazines," authorities said.
