Terrorist attack, one of the aggressors under the surveillance of the Secret

One of the gunmen who attacked Sydney's Bondi Beach was on the watch list of ASIO, the Australian intelligence agency. A third person is wanted

The two men who opened fire on Sydney's Bondi Beach, killing at least 16 people and injuring 40 others, are likely to be of Pakistani origin.

This information has been reported by several informed sources, which confirm that the attack targeted the Jewish community.

A third person suspected of working with the two identified attackers is also being sought.

Australian police neutralized the two attackers. One is believed to have been killed, while the other was injured. The latter, Naveed Akram, 24, is believed to be of Pakistani origin. Home-made explosives were found in the car used by the attackers.

Two people, a man and a woman, were also arrested at their home. Investigators believe they are connected to the attack.

One of the attackers was known

Meanwhile, it has been learned that the name of one of the attackers was on the watchlists of ASIO, the Australian intelligence agency. This was confirmed by Director General Mike Burgess, as reported by ABC News.

"As with NSW Police, one of these individuals was known to us, but not in terms of an immediate threat, so we need to investigate what happened."

"As is standard practice, we are looking into the identity of the attackers and where they are known. We are trying to understand," he said, "if there is anyone in the community with similar intentions. It is important to note that, at this time, we have no indication of this, but it is something we are actively investigating."

"I don't see any change at this stage," he said, adding "likely means there is a 50% chance of a terrorist act happening. And unfortunately we saw that terrible act happen in Australia tonight."
