The Israeli military announced that it has carried out a new wave of airstrikes in the Iranian capital, Tehran, targeting facilities it said were linked to the military activities of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
According to a statement, one of the main targets was the headquarters of the IRGC's space force. The Israeli military said that this facility served as a center for receiving, transmitting and searching data related to the Iranian Space Agency, which Israel considers to be linked to the Iranian regime's military structures.
"The IDF targeted and dismantled the headquarters of the Iranian terrorist regime's IRGC Space Force. The headquarters served as a reception, transmission and research center for the Iranian Space Agency, which is affiliated with the regime's military," the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said.
The IDF stressed that the facility was used for research activities and for monitoring satellite systems.
At the same time, the Israeli military announced that dozens of other targets in different areas were hit during the operation. The statement said that about 50 bunkers used to store ammunition were destroyed, while a Revolutionary Guard compound and an internal security center were also attacked.
The latest attacks come amid escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, as both sides have intensified military operations in the region.
