Israeli Prime Minister warns of continued operations against Iran and calls on Iranians to protest to overthrow the regime

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said there are “growing signs” that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has “disappeared” from the public scene. He made the comments during a public speech that also addressed a reported attack on Khamenei’s compound in Tehran.

Netanyahu called Khamenei a "dictator" and said there were indications he had left. He did not provide concrete evidence for this claim.

At the end of his speech, the Israeli prime minister called on Israeli citizens to follow the security guidelines issued by the Home Front Command. He stressed that the military operation against Iran will continue “for as long as necessary.”

In another part of his speech, Netanyahu addressed the Iranian people directly. He declared that the Israeli strikes would help the Iranians “liberate themselves from tyranny” and that they had a “once-in-a-generation opportunity” to overthrow the regime.

"Take to the streets en masse. The time is right to join in a historic mission," he says.

Netanyahu's statements constitute a direct stance towards the Iranian leadership and mark a rhetorical escalation amid ongoing tensions between the two countries.
