Ankara supports a solution to the Israel-Palestine conflict, the creation of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has commented on the attack on Israel. Erdogan demanded the realization of an independent Palestinian state, geographically integrated, based on the borders of 1967, with Jerusalem as the capital, foreign media reports.
"Lasting peace in the Middle East is only possible through a final solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict," Erdogan said.
Erdogan also said Turkey is ready to do its part to stop the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and reduce tensions that escalated on Saturday.

Despite the recent rapprochement with Israel, Turkish officials continue to criticize Israel's policies targeting Palestinians, including illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, and the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
Turkey has said that there will be no change in Ankara's position towards the Palestinians, despite efforts to normalize with Israel.
