US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced that he will provide Ukraine with a new package of security assistance, including air defense munitions, artillery rounds, anti-armor capabilities and additional mine clearance equipment.
The package is worth $200 million and comes from "Previously Authorized Presidential Withdrawal Authority," money left over from the Defense Department's accounting error.
"Russia started this war and can end it at any time by withdrawing its forces from Ukraine and stopping its brutal attacks. Until that happens, the United States and our allies and partners will stand together with Ukraine for as long as it takes," Blinken said in a recent statement.
